Hello Everyone,

We would like to invite you to join us for the second webinar a new webinar series supported by Canadian Health Libraries Association (CHLA/ABSC). This research capacity-building grass-roots initiative is a peer-led, collaborative, interactive webinar series. These webinars are focused on building collective knowledge of processes, methodologies and methods to support librarian scholarship, and creating a culture of research engagement. Librarians (and library students) working in all settings (academic, public and special) are welcome to participate in this co-learning initiative.

The second of 3 webinars in the “Beginnings – Building Librarian Research Skills” series focuses on developing a research plan. Future webinar topics will be determined collaboratively by the participants.

Webinar 2:     Beginnings - Developing a Research Plan
A research plan/proposal is the blueprint for your research study or other scholarship project.  At a minimum, a research plan includes a rationale for your research project, questions/objectives for your research, outcomes of interest, and methods you will use. A well written research plan will guide your through your research process and help to ensure your project remains focused on your objectives and consistent in its execution. In this instructional webinar, our speaker will describe and discuss key components of a detailed research plan/protocol, using pre-existing examples to illustrate important concepts covered in this session.
