[aegir] Remote server setup

I have been having a lot of trouble with setting up a second server.  I have
followed the instructions here:

And yet still it fails.  One thing to note is that my master aegir install
is on an Ubuntu Lucid server, while the remote server is running CentOS.  On
the CentOS server, when I get to this section in the instructions:

/etc/mysql/my.cnf configuration line to comment out::
  bind-address	= 127.0.0.1

There is no bind-address entry to comment out (and the file is actually
located at /etc/my.cnf)

We have working ssh keys between our slices (both servers are on slicehost)
which I have verified multiple times.

I am able to set up the server and verify it, set up the platform on the new
server and verify it, but when I try to create a site using the new platform
and the mysql instance on the second server OR the mysql instance on the
master server, it fails, either by just running forever (never finishing) or
with the following error:

Dummy connection failed to fail: ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL
server on 'wgfh-aegir' (111)

Any help would be appreicated!
