Vous avez une pratique en art multimédia et vous désirez faire le saut 
vers les logiciels libre? Le studio XX offre une série d'ateliers sur 
linux qui débuterons par une introduction au systeme d'exploitation 
linux puis couvrira les équivalents gratuits des logiciels de traitement 
de l'image, de 3D et de l'audio pour que vous n'ayez plus a vous soucier 
de l'acces a de tel gouffre financiers!

*Détails de la formation :*
Formation des artistes sur la plateforme linux. Nous visons à donner une 
formation à douzes artistes pour qu'elles puissent réaliser leurs 
oeuvres avec des outils libres sur la plateforme ouverte Linux.

*1) Formation Linux (12h)*
Ce cours d'introduction vise à démystifier le système d'opération Linux 
et les logiciels libres. Au terme du cours, les participantes sauront 
configurer et adapter leur système d'exploitation, et pourront se 
procurer et installer les logiciels libres qui correspondent à leurs 
besoins comme par exemple UBUNTUSTUDIO. Le cours linux sera divisé en 
deux sections pour le rendre plus accessible aux artistes en leur 
donnant immédiatement l'opportunité de mettre leur acquis en pratique 
avec des logiciels de multimédias, Elles sauront aussi comment se 
procurer un system d'exploitation « Live » tel que Dynbolic qui 
fonctionnent à partir d'un CD. La formation se déroulera en alternance 
d'exposés, de démonstrations et de travaux dirigés.

*2) Traitement de l'image avec The GIMP (9h)*
Introduction au logiciel libre de manipulation d'image Gimp. Les 
participantes apprendront à manipuler des images avec Gimp. La formation 
se déroulera en alternance d'exposés, de démonstrations et de travaux 
dirigés.

*3) Modélisation et animation avec Blender 3D (12h)*
Initiation à la modélisation, à l'animation et au rendu avec Blender 3D. 
La formation se déroulera en alternance d'exposés, de démonstrations et 
de travaux dirigés.

*4) Traitement et production audionumérique avec Ardour (12h)*
Introduction à la plateforme audionumérique Ardour. Les participantes 
apprendront à monter, mixer et enregistrer des pièces sonores avec 
Ardour. La formation se déroulera en alternance d'exposés, de 
démonstrations et de travaux dirigés.

*5) Conception de site Web dynamique avec Drupal (9h)*
Introduction au logiciel Drupal.Équipé d'une variété d'outil Web, Drupal 
soutient la conception de formes multiples de site Web, du weblog 
personnel a la conception de site communautaires

Are you a multimedia arts practitioner ready to make the leap to free 
and open source software (FOSS)?

Studio XX is hosting a series of workshops based on open source tools 
for artistic creation. The series starts with an introduction to the 
Linux operating system then focuses on practical software for graphics 
and audio processing along with 3D imaging.

*Workshop details:*
Studio XX seeks to educate 12 artists about the Linux operating system 
so they can produce their artwork using Open Source tools.

*1) Linux Course (12h)*
These sessions will demystify the Linux operating system and expand on 
free software. Throughout the course participants will learn to 
configure and adapt their operating system and install the free software 
they require for their production needs, such as Ubuntu Studio. They 
will also be a session on [Dyne]Bolic (a Live CD Linux distribution with 
a focus on multimedia production).

The course will consist of demonstrations, practical lectures and 
independent work.

*2) Digital and Photographic image processing with The GIMP (9h)*
Introduction to digital and photographic image manipulation with The 
GIMP. The course will consist of demonstrations, practical lectures and 
independent work.

*3) Modeling and Animation with Blender 3D (12h)*
Introduction to modeling, animation and rendering with Blender 3D. The 
course will consist of demonstrations, practical lectures and 
independent work.

*4) Digital audio processing and production with Ardour (12h)*
Introduction to digital audio processing and production. Participants 
will learn to import, mix and record audible media with Ardour. The 
course will consist of demonstrations, practical lectures and 
independent work.

*5) Introduction to dynamic website conception with Drupal (9h)*
Introduction to Drupal. Equipped with a powerful blend of features, 
Drupal supports a variety of websites ranging from personal weblogs to 
large community-driven websites.
