[MLUG] SSD disks brand recommendations for RAID?

Hi all,

I am building two small systems for test / dev environments, to
support pre-deployment of virtual machines.

These would be scratch machines that need off-the-shelf components so
anything can be replaced/rebuilt quickly, and RAID-1 so in case of
failure rebuilds can be quick. No critical data here, just aiming at
quick sandboxes.

I'd like to hear recommendation for SSDs, I always look at Intel first
but I haven't checked specs/reviews for ~2 yrs now, specially
regarding small servers. If anyone has built such systems in the
recent past I'd like to know what brands you chose and why.
