in my experience, Fedex always leave a stick-on card on your door, on which
you are supposed to CHECK a box, that says, 'permission leave the parcel'.


You can also have it rerouted to their 'distribution center ' ie somewhere
in the depths of Trudeau airport.

They also have a drop off in Anjou. You have to call them with the card info
and then you can pick up the package at those locations.

Otherwise they are supposed return to sender  ( though I heard stories from
American friends who drove home to find their complete new PC systems
delivered, sitting on their porch in broad daylight.
