Très cool, cette utilisation de la loi sur le copyright, pour combattre
le spam:

"Habeas' patent-pending Sender Warranted Email ("SWE") service works by
trademarking and copyrighting a unique set of lines, known as the
warrant mark, which is embedded in the headers of outgoing email, and
which alerts receiving systems that the email is not spam and should be
delivered. Included in the Habeas mark is a haiku, a form of Japanese
poetry. Spammers who attempt to counterfeit the Habeas warrant mark can
be prosecuted under Federal copyright and trademark law. Recognizing the
Habeas warrant mark as indicating "this is legitimate email", more than
forty spam filters and ISPs whitelist email from Habeas' customers."

J'ai reçu un spam contenant ceci:

X-Habeas-SWE-1: (contenu copyrighté)
X-Habeas-SWE-2: (contenu copyrighté)
X-Habeas-SWE-3: (contenu copyrighté)
X-Habeas-SWE-4: Copyright 2002 Habeas (tm)
X-Habeas-SWE-5: Sender Warranted Email (SWE) (tm). The sender of this
X-Habeas-SWE-6: email in exchange for a license for this Habeas
X-Habeas-SWE-7: warrant mark warrants that this is a Habeas Compliant
X-Habeas-SWE-8: Message (HCM) and not spam. Please report use of this
X-Habeas-SWE-9: mark in spam to <http://www.habeas.com/report/>.

Habeas semble fournir une "whitelist" (liste de clients) et une
blacklist (toutes deux disponibles publiquement). La licence est
gratuite pour les individus. Je trouve ça particulièrement intéressant
de regarder ça sous l'angle de la liberté logicielle...

Bon matin,

Nicolas
