Dear all,
Apologies for cross-posting
Last year I started blogging and from now on I will spend half a day per
week writing blogs on systematic reviews and systematic searching. The main
reason for this was my clients, students, and colleagues who were asking
really good but repetitive questions that their answers would benefit many.
Initially, I thought of introducing a textbook or journal paper to answer
their questions but none of them is up-to-date or comprehensive. I also
thought about writing to the journals as a column but I could not afford to
pay the open access fee or put my free content behind a paywall of wealthy
publishers; it is also not possible to update the journal papers
frequently. So, I started blogging using a professional blogging platform
(Medium) that prevents you from binge-reading more than a few posts a day!
If you want to read more, you can use your browser's Incognito mode. I
received positive feedback from my colleagues, students, and libraries
linked to selected posts.
I did not want to send every post to the mailing lists as many of you will
not be interested in the topic, so this is the only email you receive
regarding this blog. I hope you find the following posts relevant and if so
please feel free to follow and sign up to receive the updates (email
subscription dysfunctions):
